Panama-flagged cargo ship sinks off Indian coast with 24 crew

In the Bay of Bengal on Friday, the cargo vessel Ocean Winner slipped beneath the surface some 240 nautical miles off India's eastern coast, carrying 24 sailors — mostly Chinese nationals — into one of the world's busiest and most unforgiving stretches of sea. Two have been pulled from the water; twenty-two remain unaccounted for as Indian Coast Guard and Navy units race against darkness and distance.
